DETAILED ITINENARY
Day 01: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Meet your driver/guide in the morning, have a short briefing about the safari and the highlights of the safari and set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the south western parts of Uganda. You will have a stopover at the Equator and get stretch of the legs and you can also purchase souvenirs if you want. Proceed to Mbarara for lunch as you continue to Kabale where Bwindi impenetrable national park is found. We will arrive in the evening hours and check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge.
Day 02: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi
Wake up to an early morning breakfast and head to the park offices for briefing. You will be divided into groups of 8 people to move together for tracking. Tracking the Gorillas can be hectic but you being prepared physically makes the difference. You can choose to move with packed lunch or wait to have it when you return but the best option is to carry you food since you can’t determine how long the tracking will take. Your ranger guide will be in communication with the trackers for the exact location of the mountain gorilla to ease your trek. You will spend 1 hour with them which starts from the time of contact. Return back to the park offices for your tracking certificate. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge.
Day 03: Transfer to queen Elizabeth National Park
This day begins with a morning after breakfast and a drive through the local kigezi villages arriving in lunchtime in the early afternoon. In the evening we set out for game drive in the park with a chance of seeing wonderful wildlife and sun set view in opening. We the return for dinner and night stay at Ishasha Jungle Lodge.
Day 04: Morning and afternoon game drives in Ishasha
After breakfast, you will have a game drive through the Ishasha side of Queen Elizabeth National park for your morning game drive. Ishasha is well known for tree climbing lions and chances of seeing them climbing depends on your luck of the day. Ishasha has other animals like Buffaloes, Antelopes, Elephants and many other game. You may also choose to drive to River Ishasha to see the border of Uganda and Democratic republic of Congo. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and then evening game drive in Ishasha to catch up with hose animals you could have missed in the morning. Dinner and night stay at Ishasha Jungle Lodge.
Day 05: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport
After a heavy breakfast this day, we will drive to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
