Day 1: Kigali tour – Volcanoes national park
we shall pick you from your hotel in Kigali or at the airport on arrival for a city tour. Kigali is a beautiful modern clean city ranked one of the cleanest in Africa, we shall also visit Gisozi genocide site. Have lunch and later hit the road driving to Bwindi forest national park in in Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Start your day with breakfast at your hotel, proceed to the Kinigi park headquarters for briefing and registration before hitting the jungle to track the gorillas. Start the search for the gorillas in the impenetrable forest for the Mountain gorillas, meet them and have an opportunity to study, and take their pictures as the silverback leads the group through the day’s activities. You will later return to the headquarters to meet your guide/driver to take you for a cultural visit to the Batwa community shortly and embark on your journey to Rwanda again. Dinner and overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme.
Day 3: Hiking Mt.Bisoke 3711 Meters
After breakfast, you will report to the park offices ready with packed lunch and drinking water in your hiking gear, you will be briefed by the park ranger guide and then ascend to the mountain for your hike. This will probably take you 6 to 8 hours in total. The activity requires some level of fitness for you to enjoy the hike through the beautiful hill to get to the top where the Crater Lake can be viewed to the best before descending back to the lodge and check out heading to the airport for departure.
