Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Musanze
Our safari guide will pick you up very early in the morning from the hotel or Kigali International Airport and head to the Musanze province in the Volcanoes National Park. There will be a short pre-hiking briefing and registration at the Kinigi Park offices at 7:00am. We will immediately drive from the briefing point driving through rocky and muddy terrain. You will then proceed to hike the mountain along with the mountain guides and porters to help carry your luggage. The hike takes between 3 to 5 hours depending on the energy and physical fitness of the trekkers. On reaching the peak, you will enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding environment and see the beauty of this country of a thousand hills. You will be able to take as many photos as you want. You will later return to the start point to meet your driver/guide. Have lunch and head back to Kigali international airport or your hotel.
