DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kigali & transfer to Bwindi Forest

On arrival at Kanombe airport in Kigali, you will be welcomed by our guide who will gladly drive you to Kigali for a city tour. On arrival, you will be charmed by the natural beauty of Rwanda the land of thousands hills. Kigali is such a clean city with hospitable people who will be happily smiling to receive you. You will visit the genocide Memorial grounds to have insight on how this war started. You will enjoy an adventurous drive through the terraced hills as you head to Bwindi Forest in Uganda. Arrive in the evening have dinner and night stay at: Travelers Hotel Kisoro.

Day 02: Gorilla Tracking – Bwindi

Early morning after breakfast, leave with your packed lunch and report to the Park headquarters for registration and join other trackers in a briefing about the guidelines for gorilla trekking at 7:45 am. You will trek through thick undergrowth with UWA guides to find the gorillas, which can take you half an hour up to three quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is very dense but traversed by numerous animal trails allowing access to the tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures as you learn about their daily lives in the forest. Return to the lodge later for dinner and night stay at: Travelers Hotel Kisoro.

Day 03: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Nation Park 

Embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast. The drive will take you through the Ishasha sector arriving at Queen Elizabeth Park in the afternoon for lunch. You will have a game drive where you might spot lots of game as you transfer to the park headquarters. Watch out for tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at: Buffalo Safari lodge.

Day 04: Game drive and Launch boat cruise

You will have a very early game drive at 6:00am for the early risers in the Park. Look out for the big cats as they look for an early meal and the night hunters as they return for rest. The morning drive is good as animals are most active feeding in the morning. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch as you prepare for a boat cruise. After your lunch, launch a boat cruise at Kazinga channel which is known for the high population of hippos in the region. You will also set your eyes on large crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes and many water birds at the river banks. Return to the lodge later and have your dinner and night stay at the lodge. Day 05: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, embark on the morning game drive which will take you through the parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park and thereafter we transfer you to Kibale Nation al Park arriving in the evening hours. Dinner and night stay at: Chimpanzee Guest House.

Day 06: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk

After breakfast, you will head to Kibale Forest to have an encounter with our real cousins the Chimpanzees. The activity begins at 8.00am with a briefing of the rule for chimp trekking before you set off to search for them in the forest. Tracking takes half a day and as you track you will see several primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Red-Colobus and the Blue tailed, Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the braches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you insights on the lifestyles of these primates and on the plants as well as on the insects and butterflies in this forest to ensure that the trek is informative. You will return to the lodge for lunch later and in the afternoon you will go for Bigodi swamp walk. Dinner and night stay at: Chimpanzee Guest House.

Day 7: Departure and transfer to Entebbe 

After morning breakfast, you will drive back to Entebbe international airport for your flight out late in the evening.
