DETAILED ITINENARY
Day 1: To Bwindi National Park
You will be picked from your hotel by our representative who will be your guide through your trip and set off for an 8-9 hours’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park located in south western part of Uganda. This long drive is worth it as it rewards you with great views of the countryside of this country. Just keep your cameras close so you can have images of whatever you find interesting. Your driver will definitely stop if you need, for you to capture that beautiful moment.
You will have an en route stopover at the Equator crossing for photographic and simple experiment and proceed to Mbarara town for Lunch. You will embark on your scenic drive to Bwindi National Park for overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Havens
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Park headquarters for registration and briefing with other guests for a gorilla trekking. You will be divided in groups of 8 and be allocated a gorilla family to track. You will then head to the thick vegetation with your guides to find the Gorillas, which may take you half an hour to over three quarters of the day depending on the location of the gorillas. You will be allowed to spend only one hour with the gorillas which starts from the time of contact. Look out for other primates (on a lucky day), birds and rare tree species. You will then be led back to the Park headquarter. For your tracking certificate awarded for your contribution to the conservation of mountain gorillas in this park. Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge.
Day 3: Drive to Entebbe/Kampala
After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to Kampala or Entebbe to fly out of Uganda today or to your hotel if you are not leaving Uganda that day. You will have a stopover at Igongo Cultural center for a cultural feel of the Ankole dance.
